Esperanza.
Hope South of the Border.
What if everyone incarnated Christ...in Baja this spring? We are gathering, a group of adventurors to head south into Mexico, 85 miles south of the border to an area just below Ensenada, to help a group of homeless women and their children. Tucked up against the mountains is Casa Esperanza ("House of Hope"), a home for homeless women, most of whom are also victims of domestic abuse. Currently Esperanza has 65 women and their children, and their needs are many.
Casa Esperanza provides a home, education, guidance and development for the hurting women and their children. Operating on a little money and tons of faith, Esperanza has accomplished amazing things in loving the "least of these" living in this region of Mexico. We're immensly inspired by their efforts, love and faith, and want to help.
TerraNova church will spend a few 3-day weekends building, gardening, worshiping and connecting with the residents of Esperanza, in a partnering effort to be the hands and feet of Jesus in this place of great need. We need volunteers. No experience necessary.
