Single parents represent a unique and often very disadvantaged and underresourced stage of life. It's tough enough to just get by in south county. Add to that a single income, children, working parents, rising costs, relational challenges ... it's just tough.

And that's why we have a huge desire to express the grace and goodness of Christ to this life stage in particular. That's what One Step is all about. One Step is constantly in the process of thinking of new ways to resource single parents -- from workshops and skills training, to back-to-school clothing vouchers, to access to food resources (like our partnerships with Golden Share Foods and South County Outreach), and much more.
