Our Summer LIFEgroups   

Here's a list of our summer groups kicking off in June. Summer LIFEgroups will meet 4 - 6 times between the beginning of summer and Labor Day weekend. So, it's a short-term commitment! (Each group will arrange those dates differently, based largely on the availability of the people who sign up.) 

This summer we've got a bunch of groups that are really mixing it up, doing some really creative and fun things to help build friendships while being challenged in your faith. SUNDAY:

ROOTED
for:  18-25 year olds

details: If you're between the ages of 18-25 and are looking to get connected with the dozens of other people at TerraNova who are in your life stage, we'd love to have you join us at Rooted. We'll be working through a series on what it looks like to REFLECT Jesus in our lives, as well has having several connect events and a lake trip. Whether you live in the area or are just home for the summer, be sure to check it out.

details: TNU is TerraNova's university-level, biblical-IQ-raising course track for anyone wanting a deeper biblical and theological education. The summer class will run 5 consecutive Monday nights July 2-30 and will focus on "Christology."

Sunset Community Picnic Dinner and Recreation [FR1]

details: The famed Main Beach volleyball courts are where we meet up. Come work up an appetite with a game or two and let's eat. We'll bring extra food so we can invite friends we meet on the beach to join in the meal.

God in the Movies [FR2]
for: Singles and Couples

details: Jesus used "parables" (the story telling method of the first century) to relate spiritual truths to people. The story telling methods of our time are movies. We plan to watch some fairly current movies and look at possible spiritual messages or applications that they may have embedded in them. If you are a move buff (and who isn't) then this is the summer group for you. Some of the movies for consideration: The October Bay (forgiveness), Hugo (calling), Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (faith), The Lucky One (grace), The Vow (commitment) and The Avengers (community in action).

SATURDAY:

Hiking Group [SA1]
for: Singles & Couples

details: No experience necessary! Hike #1 will be a loop at Whiting Wilderness Park. All hikers are eligible to come on a four-day three-nite backpack trip in the Eastern Sierras at summer's end.

Parents + Kidz at the Playground [SA2]
